Find Your Perfect Coffee

Find Your Perfect Coffee

Twenty-five coffees is a lot to stand in front of. This page narrows it down in about a minute — start with whichever question below sounds most like you.

Start with how you drink it

Black, no milk

You want balance and clarity, not something that needs cream to be drinkable.

  • Colombia Reserve — a bold-bodied medium roast with honey and cherry notes and a bright finish. The safest first bag in the whole lineup.
  • Tarrazu Reserve — bold and notably sweet, with lemon and honey and a bright citrus finish.
  • Santos No. II — a balance of acidity, body and sweetness, with nutty dark chocolate and a fruity aftertaste.

With milk or cream

Milk flattens a delicate coffee. These have enough body to come through it.

  • Antigua Estate — full-bodied, deep and creamy, with chocolate and nuts and a sweet chocolatey aroma.
  • Brothers House — our daily drinker. Robust caramel and nutty notes, a velvety mouthfeel, and a slightly spicy finish.
  • Organic Black Reserve — a French roast: full-bodied, rich caramelized sugars, bold and bittersweet.

Espresso

Pour over or filter

Slow brewing rewards brightness and delicacy.

  • Kenya AA Reserve — complex, fruity, light and very bright, with a delicate acidity and a wine-like finish. The most distinctive cup we sell.
  • First Light — a medium-light roast with bright citrus and a smooth, mellow finish.
  • Tarrazu Reserve — sweet and citrus-bright, and forgiving if your pour is not perfect.

Cold brew or iced

Cold brew mutes acidity and amplifies sweetness, so smooth and low-acid coffees do best.

  • Mandheling Black — light grapefruit and sweet pepper with a smooth mouthfeel.
  • Caramel Reserve — sweet creamy caramel on a medium roast base. Naturally sweet cold brew with no syrup needed.
  • Santos No. II — nutty and chocolatey, and it stays smooth over ice.

Start with what you want to taste

Smooth and easy, nothing sharp

  • Santos No. II — balanced across the board, nutty dark chocolate.
  • Peaberry Reserve — sweet aromas of spice, almonds, chocolate and cinnamon. Smooth, balanced, velvety and creamy.
  • Mogiana Reserve — playful and smooth, from a small family-run farm in Brazil.

Bright and fruity

Dark and bold

  • Organic Black Reserve — French roast, bittersweet, low acidity, and none of the charred taste some French roasts have.
  • Italian Reserve — Italian roast that still holds on to its fruit.
  • Midnight Mocha — a dark roast with a lush body, wild herbs, ripe berries and hints of dark chocolate.

Sweet, without adding sugar

Our flavored coffees are flavored after roasting, applied to whole beans rather than stirred in as a syrup. They contain natural and artificial flavors, with no added sugar.

Chocolate and depth

  • Founders’ Reserve — luxuriously smooth, nutty and citrus notes leading into a rich, chocolatey finish.
  • The Signature — full-bodied with bright, fruity Kenyan character and a subtle cocoa finish.
  • Starwood Reserve — spicy undertones over a smooth, full-bodied base.

If organic matters to you

Still can’t decide?

Then don’t. Our coffee bundles are three full 12oz bags rather than sample sachets, so you get a real sense of each one:

  • Brew Crew — a spread of our most popular roasts.
  • Origin Crew — three single origins, side by side. The fastest way to work out which origin you like.
  • Flavor Crew — Golden Hazelnut, Cinnamon No. II and Private Vanilla.

One last thing: choose your grind

Every coffee comes as Whole Bean, Coarse (French press, cold brew), Standard or Medium (drip machines), Fine (pour over), or Espresso. Pick it on the product page.

If you have a grinder, choose Whole Bean. Ground coffee starts losing aroma within minutes of grinding, and it is the single biggest difference between a good cup and a great one — bigger than which bag you pick off this page.
